Once you have logged in to your wordpress platform and are inside of your post editor (please install TinyMCE advanced plugin; if you do not have) click on upload/insert and click add image. Please see images above. Next find an image or YOU can upload an entire folder of images….This will create a gallery of your images. or each one can be individually set uploaded. Make sure that when you are uploading IMAGES for WordPRESS website that you have the images cut to maximum 600px. If you load RAW images or images above 600px it will slow down your hosting account and create serious problems for your website. My plugins will enable your images then to be auto-resized and then viewed in a lightbox or elegant frame around your images and you can feature one image and have a gallery of many images after clicking an image. This is done through the “USE FEATURED IMAGE” option and depending how your website is configured that option should display the FULL images across the top of your post like this.
Editing an Image in WordPRess
Once you have the image in the post you are creating; you can always click on the image to resize or edit the captions…..Images can also be setup into a slider or any numerous types of carousels via plugins. Please contact me and I will send you my list of MUST HAVE WORDPRESS PLUGINS.
When I insert or use images inside of my article instead of just having it appear above the title of the article or post; I always use a thumbnail size for the wordpress image 150px x 150px. It ius easier and quicker ot be able to just check the thumbnail size; plus having a larger image slows the loading time down of the webpage and if not inserted correctly then it will not be viewable via mobile sites or smart phone viewing. I will cover an entire video and another article about why your wordpress website or business-website NEEDS to be MOBILE-FRIENDLY.
There is a plugin for this and when inserting a video and or an image they must be setup the correct way or they will look mangled or just plain with no borders or any type of style. Having elegant images on your wordpress website is a MUST for any business owner or blogger.
